How do we ensure a mix of projects that have both ecological and socio-economic impact and that are in line with O My Bag's core activities in India?
Together with Regreener, O My Bag has set up a compensation programme focused on CO₂ impact, socio-economic development and local impact at the beginning of our chain:
Selection of high-quality projects: Regreener has carefully selected high-quality CO₂ compensation projects. These projects ranged from local initiatives in India, where our chain begins, to other international projects with a strong focus on biodiversity, climate adaptation and socio-economic development. Each project was assessed on quality, impact and alignment with O My Bag's sustainability vision.
Transparency and communication: Regreener provides O My Bag with communication materials and project updates. This enables O My Bag to communicate transparently, both internally and externally, about the progress and impact of the selected projects.
Responsibility for unavoidable emissions: by supporting projects in India, O My Bag takes responsibility for residual emissions through verified and high-quality offset projects, while working to reduce emissions. In doing so, they follow the Oxford Offsetting Principles.
Local and global impact: the selected projects contribute to both local and global sustainability goals, with measurable results in terms of CO₂ reduction and socio-economic development.
